TropiTracker only uses information from the
National Hurricane Center,
ensuring that all data is accurate and reliable.
All data is fetched from the TropiTracker API, which fetches info from official NHC RSS feeds. This API is
open-source & free to use. It updates every 5 minutes and
puts all info from the NHC RSS feeds into more user-friendly JSON files, as well as adding extra details that
the NHC does not natively support such as hurricane category (based off winds), satellite and IR satellite gifs,
and cone tracks (experimental cone tracks, which show how far inland the warnings go).
If you would like to use this API in your own applications, refer to
api.tropitracker.com or visit the
GitHub page.
